AQUILA

a bird's eye view
The duty of patrol officers is to maintain community safety and help people stay alert and observant of impending dangers or suspicious individuals.
The police drone AQUILA offers law enforcement a more comprehensive field of vision.
My goal for this product is for it to become a standard piece of equipment for officers on duty.
Whether it's used for real-time traffic monitoring, accident scene analysis, terrain exploration, short-term surveillance, or even pursuing suspects,
it can provide law enforcement with clearer and more complete information.

User scenario
When patrol officers are pursuing a suspect on foot, AQUILA can be quickly launched on the spot to track the suspect’s escape route in real-time. This helps prevent officers from losing the suspect due to sharp turns or blind spots.
In the event of a traffic accident, AQUILA can swiftly capture images and pinpoint the exact location of the crash, assisting in reconstructing the scene. This speeds up the response and handling process, ultimately reducing traffic congestion caused by the accident.
prototyping
To ensure the entire system could function properly, I consulted several engineers specialized in programming to custom-build a mini circuit board for AQUILA, allowing it to maintain a pocket-sized form.
Its sturdy casing protects the internal components from damage during collisions, while the waist pouch stores and shields the device from impacts or shaking caused by the officer’s movements.
